Nicoise Salad with Seared Tuna

The Nicoise Salad is a classic French salad featuring sustainably sourced tuna and a homemade dijon vinaigrette. This simple and healthy dish makes for a great lunch or dinner option.

Salad Ingredients

01 Red Potatoes

02 Hard boiled eggs

03 Haricots verts

04 sushi quality Ahi Tuna

05 Cherry tomatoes

06 Pitted Nicoise olives

07 Curly endive/ Frisée

08 Olive oil

09 Apple cider vinegar

10 Spicy tuna rub

Prepare the lemon-garlic-dijon vinaigrette

Hard Boil Eggs


Hard boil eggs. Then, peel and refrigerate.

Prepare the Veggies


Slice and boil the red potatoes, then splash with apple cider vinegar. Boil and cut the green beans. Slice the cherry tomatoes in half. Store all ingredients in the refrigerator.

Prepare the Ahí Tuna


Coat the tuna with grapeseed oil and coat with a spicy tuna rub.

Grill the tuna


Sear each side of the tuna for 2-3 minutes, or less depending on how rare you prefer your tuna. Remove from heat and let rest for five minutes.

Slice the tuna 


Slice the tuna into 1/2 inch thick pieces and begin assembling the salad.

Assemble the salad


Combine the greens, potatoes, green beans, tomatoes, and olives in a large mixing bowl. Stir the vinaigrette and drizzle over the salad. Toss gently and season to taste with salt and pepper.
